129. Only You Can Define Your Self-Worth
It’s common for entrepreneurs—and anyone really—to struggle with doubt about self-worth.
In my own story, I was very career and money-driven; I saw money as freedom. Based on my earnings, I would find ways to invest in myself, and the more I did that, the more I saw an increase in my self-worth.
How can you, on a personal level and a business level, find a way to measure the worth and value that you contribute? That’s what we’re going to explore today.
How Do You Measure Your Self-Worth?
Find your metric for success and trace it back to your values: Is your goal to make revenue in your business so that you can make enough money to invest back into yourself and your employees?
You have to know your numbers and you have to know why you are doing what you are doing.
Clarify what would happen when you hit certain numbers: How will that transform your business?
You have to ask for what you are worth before you can hope to receive what you are worth.
